After three exceedingly successful events with more than 1,300 participants from over 32 nations last time, the Combat Medical Care Conference 2021 promises to be another milestone in the field of tactical medicine. Combat casualty care of soldiers in missions abroad, from the place of injury by well-trained "non-medical personnel" to the qualified medical service and evacuation, remains a key aspect of this conference.

A special emphasis is placed on "prolonged field care" which is oriented towards significantly extended medical treatment periods. Furthermore, as a result of the current terrorist attacks in Europe medical care under such extreme tactical conditions are becoming increasingly important in Germany. In this scope, police as well as rescue services have already benefited from the experience and treatment algorithms of the military services for some years and transfers them into the civilian sphere.
